ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?

When applied properly by a certified Lash Artist, lash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. The application is relaxing and completely pain-free. Your eyes will be closed throughout the entire procedure. The eyelash extensions are applied individually to each natural lash approximately 1-2mm from the lash line. This ensures clients’ safety and allows the lashes to continue its growth cycle without interruption.

WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE AND HOW DO THEY FEEL?

BlushRock Eyelash Extensions are made of synthetic polyester replicating natural lashes. Our two step manufacturing process gives the lashes a naturally soft luscious feel with a satin gloss finish. We are a cruelty free company and therefore do Not use real animal fibers such as fox or mink.

HOW LONG DO BLUSHROCK EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

There are two factors that come into play with the life of the extensions. First, the products used such as the quality and durability of the primers & adhesives. Our adhesives are formulated by a team of chemists. Client safety was our number one priority during research and development. Our goal was to formulate products that have superior bonding power yet safe enough to use on natural lashes. Second, how you care for your lashes after the application. Taking proper care and following a few simple guidelines will extend the life of your extensions. See Lash Maintenance for home after care.

CAN YOU APPLY LASH EXTENSIONS IF MY NATURAL LASHES ARE TINTED OR DYED?

Yes, as long as these procedures are done prior to the lash extension session. Do not tint, dye or perm your lashes once your extensions are applied as this can be damaging to your natural lashes. Manual lash curlers are no longer necessary as the extensions are pre-curled.

APPROXIMATELY HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

A full set of lashes consists of 150-250 lashes per eye. This service can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 150 minutes depending on the amount of natural lashes you have. A lash refill will take 60 minutes. You should have at least 40% of your extensions still attached when scheduling your lash refill appointment. It is recommended to have refills and touch ups every 2-4 weeks.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE SERVICE?

You should come to your appointments with clean lashes, free of makeup and any oil residue, including eye creams. Any oil based products on or around the eyes will break down the adhesive bond. Contacts must be removed before the procedure as well.

ONCE APPLIED, HOW DO I CARE FOR THE LASHES?

There is very little maintenance with eyelash extensions. Use a disposable mascara wand to keep lashes looking their best and remember to always use oil-free products on and around your eye area. Do not expose your eyelashes to water 24 hours after the application. This step is crucial as water will weaken the adhesive bond and shorten the life of the extensions.

WHY DO I HAVE TO REFILL MY LASHES?

Our lashes have 3 growth cycles, you will naturally shed 1-3 lashes per day along with the extensions. For this reason, we recommend you book a lash refill every 2-3 weeks to maintain their fullness along the lash line.

CAN I WEAR MASCARA?

Yes, as long as the mascara is oil-free and not waterproof. We recommend you use our water-based BlushRock Volumizing Mascara which is specially formulated for eyelash extensions. Added vitamin B and E will nourish and protect your natural lashes. Apply the mascara from the mid section to the tips of the extensions.

HOW DO I REMOVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Please do Not attempt to remove the eyelash extensions yourself. Simply schedule an appointment with your Lash Artist for proper removal.  This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes.
